Snowmen Popcorn Cups for Christmas Movie Night

By Macaroni Kid Roseville-Rocklin-Lincoln December 12, 2018
Don’t you just love all the great Christmas movies? Well, it’s time to put on your pjs, make some hot chocolate and snuggle up to watch them! But before you do, make some popcorn and put them in these easy-peasy snowmen cups.

Here’s all you need:
Some clear or semi opaque plastic cups
Ribbon for the scarf
Sharpies, black & orange
Glue Gun

Cut the ribbon long enough to go around the bottom of the cup and still be able to tie it in a not with “tails” hanging off. Put a small dab of glue from the glue gun onto the cup (not too much…you don’t want to melt the cup) and put the ribbon on it. Wrap the ribbon around and tie. Note: I tried it without using the glue, and the ribbon just kept sliding off.

Using a black Sharpie, Color in circles for 2 eyes, draw the outline of the “carrot” nose, and the dots for the mouth. Use the orange sharpie to color in the carrot.

If you don’t have an orange sharpie, you could use orange construction paper and glue it on, but you will have to plan a little head so the glue dries so they carrot doesn’t “slip around” (I wouldn’t recommend using the glue gun for this because you need to use too much glue and it might melt the cup).

Now fill them up with popcorn and pop that movie in. It’s movie night.

If you wash them out, being careful not to get the ribbon messed up, you could reuse them for the entire Christmas season. They also are great for christmas parties.
