Lincoln Potters Hitting the Field for a New Season

By Macaroni Kid Roseville-Rocklin-Lincoln March 20, 2019

The Lincoln Potters are
Stepping up to the Plate for the 2019 Season

Grab the kids and head over to McBean Stadium and help root for the home team, as the Lincoln Potters begin a new season this May. They are a wooden bat collegiate summer team, and after almost a 50-year hiatus, the Lincoln Potters made a comeback in 2017. They are part of the California Collegiate League. Even with all the traveling they do, there are plenty of home games for the family to enjoy!

The opening game for the season is May 30th, but you won't want to miss out on the Free Fan Fest on May 25th where fans can come out and meet the Potters Team. There will be food, music, and fun. The team will be signing autographs out on the field. They have a whole season of fun in store for fans with many themed promotional nights, with giveaways for the first 500 that go through the gates, and Fireworks on several nights. You can see the schedule below.

You can bring the whole family out for an evening of fun and enjoy Americas Favorite Pastime, without breaking the bank! Ticket prices are reasonable and they have several ticket packages available (some include a souvenir), and a Friends & Family Ticket package that includes 4 tickets, 4 Potters Hats, and 4 McDonalds Extra Value Meal Vouchers for only $24 (Hurry there are limited quantities!). They will have a special Kid Zone where the kids burn off some energy bouncing in a bounce house!

One of the things I am really impressed with is that they are very community oriented. Organizations can team up with the Potters for fundraising to sell vouchers that are good for admission to a game, and earn 50% on voucher sales. They support local Little League teams and offer an amazing Field of Dreams program where Little League, and youth softball, teams can take the field during the National Anthem, and the team gets in the game for free! Family and friends can join the team for the game with General Admission tickets for just $6 (for groups of 10 or more, the tickets are only $5 each). They also have Instructional Camps during the summer for youths age 6-14

During the summer season, they have more than 30 players that come from all over the United States to play. During the short time they are in the area, they need housing. This is a great experience for both the player and the host family. Since they travel a lot, they don't spend that much time here locally (and they have games to play during that time). They are actively looking for host families for this upcoming season. If you think this is something you are interested in contact Michelle Eskridge at 916-719-2201 or you can fill out the form on this page for more information.

You'll find their home games on our event calendar. You can also get their full schedule, field map, and promotional information. McBean Stadium is located at McBean Park Dr & D St in Lincoln. They also have VIP Nights in the "Kiln" with some great BBQ for group outings!
