Destiny Community Center

Events, Classes & Services

November 14, 2018

The Destiny Community Center is an initiative of the Love Our City Brand. The mission and vision of the Destiny Community Center is to provide easy access to services offering health and wellness for individuals and their families. We say that we are “built by the community, for the community”; 100% of our funding comes from community members and organizations, and 100% of it goes back into programs and services to help local families, schools, and students.

The community center itself is a 69,000 sq ft facility in Rocklin which houses an indoor play structure, a teen center, an arts program for students, parenting classes and workshops, mental health classes and workshops, education classes and a tutoring and homework assistance program. These resources we offer to our community with a vast majority of them at no cost.

The community center also has a full gym and cafe where 100% of the proceeds go back in to supporting our programs.

More information on the programs we offer:

Destiny Performing Arts (DPA)

From dance to drama and vocals to design, Destiny Performing Arts is bringing art back to the community. DPA offers a variety of free resources for students. Our desire is that the arts can be open and accessible to all. We are a non-profit with no requirements, religious or financial, to join our program. DPA is a free year-round, semester-based program for students in 1st-12th grade.

The programs include musical theatre productions, a performance dance team, a homeschool academy, an adult dance program, various summer camps and programs, and our DPA classic program which has classes in a wide variety of artistic mediums.

Education:

The Learning Center offers a variety of free resources for students of all ages. We specialize in Homework Assistance, Beginning ESL and STEM. We believe that education is vital to life because it enables each person to succeed.

The programs include classes and workshops such as Financial Peace, technology workshops, career building courses, ESL courses for children and adults and educational summer programs.

Family:

The need for increased individual and family support services in our area demands a response.

The Destiny Community Center offers a variety of free resources for the family, from child discipline strategies to emotional support. Join us for any of our classes to begin building a healthier family today.

The programs include parenting classes in areas of co-parenting, discipline, mental and behavioral health, classes for coping with stress, anxiety, anger, substance abuse, grief, self-care and veterans support.

The community center also sponsors several Love Our City Community Outreach events. Some of the main ones are:

Celebrate America: A patriotic tribute to our nation and our military.
