Springtime Bark

Perfect for Easter

By Macaroni Kid Roseville-Rocklin-Lincoln and Citrus Heights April 8, 2020

Take your basic bark to the next level!

When I make bark with leftover melted chocolate and candy melts, I look around to see if there is anything else to add to it.  If I have been making a seasonal treat I may get lucky and have some extra goodies I can add. The thing with making "fancy" bark is there are no real rules or recipes you have to follow. You can even switch it up and instead of all "sweet" toppings, you can add salty ones such as broken pretzel pieces or nuts.

This one is pure sweet!

After melting the candy coating, (stirring in 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil), pour 2 colors onto a wax paper-lined cookie sheet, I ran a knife through it to swirl the colors around. Then let the fun begin. I topped ours with mini marshmallows, pastel-colored m&m's, and some flower-shaped "sprinkles".

Let me tell you, this was delish, and disappeared quickly. Have fun experimenting with different toppings. I love that no two times it is exactly the same. Plus, you can customize it for any holiday or celebration by changing the colors.
