We all know the importance of reading. Reading to kids when they are young helps encourage our children to become readers themselves. Those that read have increased vocabulary and tend to be better writers. Besides that, reading is just plain fun. Books can take you anywhere you want to go.
We have a few children's authors local to the Sacramento region, and we are giving away their books (if you are a local author, or know of one, contact us!).
We have:
- How to Feed Your Parents by Ryan Miller for Preschoolers to grade 2
- Olly Oxley and the Ghost: The Search for Lost Gold by Lisa Schmid aimed at 8 to 12-year-olds
- Daisy and the Dirty Dozen by Brian Wallace for at 4 to 10-year-olds
- Super Sushi: The Adventure Begins by 9-year-old Sacramento local Krithi Munagala for 8 to 12 year-olds
- Find Your Happy: A Kid's Self Love Book by local author Patricia May for 5-12 year-olds.
