Local 10 Year Old Girl Publishes Children's Book: Super Sushi!

By Marisela Morales, Macaroni Kid Folsom - El Dorado Hills publisher April 3, 2019

One of the most exciting things about being the local Macaroni Kid publisher is to have the privilege to share in the joys of exciting news about our local community members.  One of our readers reached out to share that her daughter, Krithi Munagala, had published her first children's book Super Sushi Adventures at the unripe age of 9 years old.  Imagine a parent's joy and pride!

I received a copy of the book to review.  The first thought that came to mind was, wow what a wonderful imagination.  Krithi lays out a thorough and fantastic story that brought back memories of playing make-believe.  Memories of a childhood when nothing seemed impossible and the future was nothing short of bright. Suddenly, I was 9 again and living out the excitement of teleporting and saving the world with my pet through the eyes of the main character, Krithi herself.

Super Sushi Adventures is a fun roller coaster ride with 9yr old Krithi, her pet dog Sushi and their neighbor's dog Trixie.  On a relaxed picnic, they stumble upon something unreal and get pulled into a surreal world of superheroes and adventure. They fearlessly embrace and adjust to this new world to help create a world-wide team of superheroes to protect the world. What is most impressive is that the brave heroes help share the message that one is never too small to make a difference and we can fight anything if we all stay united.  That is a powerful message for a 9-year-old to convey!

Check out Krithi's book yourself.  It's an excellent choice for summer reading and to build your bookshelf.  It is rated for ages 8 +.  Krithi plans to donate the proceeds from the book to Animal Welfare organizations around the world.

Keep an eye out for a book reading and book signing event that the Folsom Library on July 28th.

The book is currently available on Amazon.
