Edible Christmas Trees

Craft and recipe all rolled into one!

By Maggie Mackay, PM Mt.Airy-Damascus-Urbana, MD December 23, 2020

A friend shared this idea with me last year and I thought it was SO cute! My kids and I did it that night and had a lot of fun!! Plus, we had a sweet treat to share afterward!!

What you’ll need:

  • Sugar Cones
  • White icing
  • Green food coloring
  • Candy for decoration (We used holiday M&M’s and Jet Puff gingerbread shaped marshmallows)
  • Paper plates
  • Plastic knives
  • Bowl

 What you’ll do:

  1. Use the green food coloring to make all your icing green (you could also use other colors if you want to be creative with your trees!)
  2. Flip the sugar cone upside down and put it on a paper plate.
  3. Use the plastic knife to spread the green icing all over the sugar cone.
  4. Use the candy to decorate your Christmas tree any way you want!
