Giant Bubble Wand and Giant Bubble Solution

By Megan Belegu July 15, 2020

Want to learn the secrets to making GIANT bubbles?! We’ve got the scoop for you! These instructions are super simple and the results are SUPER FUN!

Giant Bubble Wand

 Supplies Needed:

  • 2 wooden dowels (approx. 36 inches long)
  • Rope (2 pieces - 1 length 100 inches, 1 length 65 inches)

Tie one end of the 65-inch rope to the end of one dowel, then repeat on the other dowel. Then tie one end of the 100-inch rope a few inches below the top rope and repeat on the other dowel. This will form a large opening for the bubble to form.

To Create Giant Bubbles:
Dunk the ropes into bubble liquid (you’ll find a recipe for Giant Bubble Liquid below) and slowly raise them up, separating the two sticks as far as they will go. If you have enough of a breeze, you may not even need to move. Otherwise, start walking slowing and watch the GIANT bubble form!

Giant Bubble Liquid

Supplies Needed:

  • 12 cups of warm water
  • 1/2 cup Karo Syrup
  • 1 cup Dawn (original) dish detergent

Mix the water with the Karo Syrup and slowly add the Dawn (Stir gently as to not create too many bubbles. You'll need those for later! Let the bubble solution sit for at least an hour (the longer the better!). This solution can be saved in an empty milk or water gallon bottle.
