Do you want to know the one thing I am just not good at doing with my kids? STEAM-type activities. It's not that I don't want to do it (OK, fine, lots of times I just don't want to do it), but I didn't get the creative, teach-a-lesson gene that makes it fun, I guess. I am so envious of my friends who compile activities and projects for their children to coincide with a book they read or a lesson they are teaching their kids. Why can't I do that?

Good news, moms. Turns out, I can. I just needed to enlist a little help. After all this time, KiwiCo has entered our lives and made it so, so easy for me to spend quality time with my kids while learning with a fun activity we both enjoy!

We got our first KiwiCo box last week and I can't help but share it with you. Here are my top five reasons I have fallen in complete love with this subscription box, then scroll down to the bottom for a link to save 40% on your first box!

1.) It is delivered to my home.
You all know what that means. There is no spending hours scouring Pinterest for a STEAM idea, then stopping at the store and spending $50 on supplies you'll use for one project. Everything you need for a project comes portioned out in a box that is delivered right to your front door, including a pre-determined project with full detailed instructions. PLUS, the boxes come with extra games, reading, information, and activities that your children can do without more materials.

2.) It is affordable.
Starting at just $16.95, you can get everything you need for an enriching, empowering project for your child delivered to your door. You don't even have to leave home!

3.) There are boxes for all ages.
Seriously. There are boxes for every age! Starting at age 0, and going all the way up to age 104, KiwiCo has an option for literally everyone. This means your child can grow with KiwiCo, and you can rest assured that the boxes and projects they are getting are age and skill-appropriate.

4.) My kids like it.
This is a serious thing. Sometimes, I have great ideas for my kids and I get really excited for them. Then, I introduce them to it and it's a major flop. Their reactions are so lackluster it makes me almost want to cry. But when their KiwiCo boxes come, they're really excited to learn! When they want to learn, they do. I love that these boxes and projects are educational for them, but also really fun. It's something they want to come back to over and over again, which makes me Mom of the Year.

5.) It's not a toy.
Is your house like mine? Overrun with toys? Mmhmm. One of the best things about KiwiCo is that it's not a toy, but my kids still get hours and hours of fun from it. Dare I say they get even more entertainment from their monthly box than they get from a new toy? Yeah, I could say that! With this box, my kids are getting something new to play with (and learn from... shhh) and it's consumable so it's not contributing to clutter as toys do. This makes it the perfect gift! (Hint, hint, grandparents!)

Long story short, you need to give KiwiCo a try. With these last few weeks of summer testing our patience, then an entire school year devoted to learning as much as possible, KiwiCo is the perfect addition to your home and your child's life.
