Come join us for Earth Week celebrations and the inauguration of Neighborhood Forest Day – A Free Tree Festival celebrating kids, trees, and the planet!
It is a day to celebrate and recognize the goodness and generosity in humanity – a celebration of abundance, unity, connection, and joy.
Neighborhood Forest Day falls in the heart of Earth Week on April 26th – four days after Earth Day and four days before Arbor Day.
This is the first year we participated in the Neighborhood Forest free tree program, and through your help and support, we had great participation.
We will be handing out free trees throughout Earth Week, April 22-30, to families who pre-ordered trees through Neighborhood Forest). We also have many engaging family activities and learning opportunities planned for the whole week:
April 22, Earth Day: Preschool Storytime --- Celebrating Our Mother Earth! Bring a Take-and-Make craft home after storytime (while supplies last)
And
April 23, 11 am - 1 pm. Come and plant seeds for a butterfly garden! (while supplies last)
Pollinators across the country need your help! Butterflies are not only fun to watch but they serve a critical purpose as well. Butterflies and other pollinators including bees, moths, birds, and bats pollinate over 75% of the world’s flowering plants.
