Happy Early Mother's Day to all our Macaroni Mama's!!  We hope that you all have an extra special weekend and are able to enjoy some time to relax.  There are a lot of fun activities going on locally this weekend, so make sure to have some fun.  Also, mark your calendar for the fun events ahead - I already have.

Keys To Happiness-Last Minute Mother's Day Gift

Everyone knows that the KEY to Mom's heart this mother's day is ORGANIZATION!  We modified this idea we found on familyfun.go.com and tried it ourselves for you!  It turned out to be totally gift worthy and certainly something the entire family can participate in.  After all, isn't that truly what mother's day is about.  Showering mom with tacky-licious gifts that little fingers toiled over?

Crunchy Raisin French Toast

Crunchy french toast fresh strawberries and cream cheese, make a great treat for any mom on Mother's Day!

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 slices cinnamon raisin bread
  • 2 cups crushed cereal flakes (corn, bran, etc) - We used Kashi 7 Whole Grain Flakes
  • 1 cup whipped cream cheese
  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • Oil

Directions:

  • Crack eggs into medium size shallow bowl, beat lightly with a fork. Add milk and vanilla and stir well.

Saturday, May 12 - Baby/Kid/Maternity Clothing and Gear Swap

Peace~Love~Swap - Bring your gently used baby, kid, teen and maternity clothing, gear, toys, music, books, decor, shoes and MORE! We will also have a special section for Mom’s! So bring some of your women’s clothing and gear that you are no longer using and swap them out for some things you could use to refresh your wardrobe. Items MUST be clean and in good condition – no holes or large stains will be accepted. Please don’t bring toys that are missing pieces.  
Where: Free Flow Academy of Hybrid Arts ~ 1106 Tinker Rd. Suite 150 Rocklin
When: 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Who: Everyone
How: There is no limit to how much you can bring, but there is a limit on how much you can take out (at a time).  Please bring one regular sized shopping bag.
